The Zambia Under-20 men's national football team is set for their Group B opening match of the 2016 Cosafa Youth Championships against Zimbabwe this afternoon.
The two archrivals square off at the Moruleng Stadium at 16h30, the first time since Zambia's semifinal triumph in the Cosafa U20 Championships which were hosted in Botswana in 2010.
Beston Chambeshi's are the record winners with 10 titles while Zimbabwe are second on the all-time list as six-time winners.
While Zambia were eliminated at the group stage in the 2013 Cosafa U20 Championships, the last time the tournament was held, Zimbabwe went on to finish fourth but Chambeshi is aiming for nothing short of victory against a tough opponent.
"The boys are ready for the match. I am happy with the way the boys have applied themselves in training. All of them are fit and rearing to go. We will be looking for maximum points," said Chambeshi.
Group B comprises of Malawi, Zambia and Zimbabwe. Zambia's next match is against Malawi on Sunday, December 11.
