Napsa Stars have released a 36-man list complete with squad numbers allocated to their players for the 2017 MTN FAZ Super League season.
Following the departures of first team players Mike Silavwe, Henry Banda, Jean Paul Semao, Mathews Macha, Simon Mbewe as well as Shadreck Mayembe, their squad numbers have been allocated to the players who arrived at the club during the off season while Laison Thole who made shirt number 4 his own in his last five seasons at the club will now wear shirt number 22.
There was also a change for Alex Mwamba who will wear shirt number 33 after his number 12 was allocated to Congolese midfielder Kanikic Pumba.
Zambia U-20 captain Solomon Sakala who joined the pensioners in the off season from Kabwe Warriors has been given shirt number 5 left behind by Silavwe while Ugandan forward Jimmy Bageya will wear the number 9 shirt previously worn by Mayembe. Signs Chibambo has been allocated the number 20 shirt previously associated with Henry Banda.
Austin Banda who wore number 7 at Mufulira Wanderers will wear the number 10 shirt left behind by Mathews Macha while Luka Chamanga has been allocated number 31 which was previously worn by Ivorian striker Semao.
Napsa Stars also announced Donewell Yobe as the team captain and that he will be deputized by Mambwe Musonda.
