Former Chipolopolo coach Honour Janza has urged the U-20 lads to keep their feet on the ground as the team prepares for the FIFA U-20 World Cup Korea Republic 2017.
Janza told Fazfootball.com at Nkoloma Stadium after watching his team Red Arrows beat the U-20 by a 3-1 score line.
The former Chipolopolo trainer addressed the lads soon after the practice match urging them to stay focused.
“The Zambian flag has to fly high again; you have to respect the game because it has brought you here. What you do on the pitch is important and do not fear any team,” Janza said.
“Remember it is your character on the pitch that matters and not off it.”
He added: “We are behind you all the time. Have the same belief, same spirit as at Cosafa, AFCON and now the world cup. We have a lot of faith in your abilities.”
Coach Beston Chambeshi has assembled a 30 member provisional squad ahead of the world cup and will have to trim the squad to 21 before the final tournament.
